Introduction
The Institute for Defense & Business (IDB) is seeking a qualified Salesforce consultant to assist with the assessment of our current use of Salesforce and provide recommendations for additional opportunities to leverage Salesforce as a business technology solution. The goal is to optimize our Salesforce implementation and ensure we are utilizing the platform to reach its fullest potential across various functions within our organization.
Project Objectives
- Assess Current Salesforce Usage: Review our current Salesforce set-up, processes, and workflows across Business Development, Program Staff, and any other departments using the platform.
- Identify Gaps and Opportunities: Identify any gaps in functionality and areas where we are under-utilizing Salesforce. Provide suggestions for enhancements or new features to better support our organizational needs.
- Maximize Efficiency and ROI: Recommend improvements to processes, automations, or integrations that will enhance user productivity and streamline business operations.
- Provide a Strategic Roadmap: Offer a clear, actionable roadmap for further adoption and scaling of Salesforce across the organization, including necessary resources and timelines.
Scope of Work
The selected consultant will be expected to:
- Current Usage Review:
- Conduct an in-depth analysis of our existing Salesforce environment, including architecture, configurations, customizations, and integrations.
- Interview key stakeholders in various departments to understand current pain points and business needs.
- Analyze how effectively Salesforce is supporting our organizational goals and objectives.
- Opportunity Identification:
- Identify areas for improvement or expansion in Salesforce usage, including but not limited to:
- Sales pipeline management and automation
- Marketing automation and lead management
- Customer support and service tools
- Analytics, reporting, and dashboards
- Integration with third-party applications (e.g., ERP systems, email marketing tools, etc.)
- Identify areas for improvement or expansion in Salesforce usage, including but not limited to:
- Recommendations and Roadmap:
- Provide a detailed set of recommendations for optimizing Salesforce functionality and increasing overall usage across the organization.
- Develop a phased implementation plan or roadmap to prioritize recommendations and integrate changes efficiently.
- Advise on best practices for governance, user adoption, and training to ensure ongoing success.
- Documentation and Training:
- Deliver comprehensive documentation that includes the findings, recommendations, and roadmap.
- Provide training materials or conduct training sessions as necessary to ensure staff can effectively implement and adopt changes.
Deliverables
- Current Usage Assessment Report: A detailed report outlining our current Salesforce usage, challenges, and potential areas of improvement.
- Recommendations Report: A document detailing the proposed changes, opportunities for further adoption, and any potential Salesforce features or integrations that should be explored.
- Strategic Roadmap: A timeline and roadmap for implementing the recommended changes.
- Documentation & Training Resources: Written documentation and resources for training internal teams on any proposed changes and best practices for Salesforce usage.
Proposal Requirements
All proposals should include the following:
- Consultant Profile:
- Company overview, including years of experience in Salesforce consulting.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Consultant, Administrator, Developer).
- Case studies or examples of similar projects completed.”
- Project Approach and Methodology:
- Description of how you would approach the project, including your process for assessing current use, identifying opportunities, and recommending improvements.
- Timeline for completing the assessment and providing recommendations.
- Team Composition:
- Names and roles of the consultants who will be working on the project, along with their relevant experience.
- Pricing Structure:
- Clear and transparent pricing model, including hourly rates or fixed fees for the entire engagement.
- Any additional costs (e.g., travel, training materials, etc.).
- References:
- At least two client references from similar Salesforce projects.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following factors:”
- Relevant experience and expertise in Salesforce consulting.
- Quality and clarity of the proposed approach and methodology.
- Ability to meet the project’s objectives within the proposed timeline.
- Pricing and value for money.
- Client references and feedback.
