MG Rodney D. Fogg

Lt Rodney Fogg recently retired after 35 years in the United States Army. Commissioned into the Quartermaster Corps in 1987, Rodney served as a logistics officer throughout his career. He was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and supported multiple divisions in combat and home station operations including the 3rd ID, 1st ID, 1st CAV and 82nd ABN. As a General Officer he commanded the 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (deploying to Kuwait & Iraq), the Quartermaster Center and School, and the Combined Arms Support Command at Fort Lee, VA. His final assignment prior to retirement was the G3 / Operations, Headquarters, U.S. Army Materiel Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Rodney graduated with honors from King University, Bristol, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He has a Master’s Degree in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
He was recently selected as an Executive Fellow with the Institute for Defense and Business (IDB) a non-profit organization in Chapel Hill, North Carolina that connects industry and military leaders. During the one-year fellowship he will lend his experience in panel discussions during educational and research programs to better meet the needs of our military.
Rodney is a native of the Appalachian Mountains in southwestern Virginia and has returned to the region to live in Abingdon, Virginia with his wife of 35 years. They are actively volunteering and participating in their new church and local communities.
