Lieutenant General (Retired) John Evans is the President/CEO of Evans Strategic Solutions, a consultancy specializing in aviation services/support, defense sector procurement and business capture, and geopolitical analysis. John is a board member of the Government and Defense Advisory Board for AAR CORP, delivering insights to AAR leadership on strategic courses of action in the government and defense market space, and a Founding Board member and Chief Advisory for Tactical Labs leveraging technology to enhance survivability and lethality for our armed forces. John is an Advisory Board Member to Academy Securities, a veteran-owned and operated investment bank with strengths in capital markets, asset management, public finance, geopolitical intel, fixed income and equity trading. Additionally, John serves as a defense and government consultant for the Roosevelt Group, committed to identifying government opportunities, supporting business objectives, and building market entry strategies to achieve client goals. John serves as a Senior Strategic Advisor for HIVE Digital Technologies providing geo-political advice and counsel to stimulate innovative investment in global markets and specialized sectors. He also served as the Senior Strategic Advisor for Crisis Response Leader Training, LLC (CRLT), an innovative software and immersive simulation company specializing in emergency management, training and public safety. John is the Senior Strategic Consultant for Vision Products, LLC, an award-winning and industry leading developer of high-resolution wide field-of-view head-worn displays and vision systems, including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR) and digital night vision systems. John is a Strategic Advisor for Apex Site Services, providing turn-key emergency and disaster response solutions for agencies and companies requiring critical services in the most demanding situations. In addition to his work in the private sector, John serves as a Highly Qualified Expert – Senior Mentor (HQE-SM) for the United States Army War College and Army General Officer Strategic Education Program training the next generation of national military leaders.

John spent the last 8 ½ years of his 36-year military career in general officer command. Just prior to his move to the private sector, John was the Commanding General, US Army North where he maintained a focus on homeland defense, protection of national critical infrastructure, defense support to civil authorities and engagement with Canadian and Mexican partners. As the Commanding General of US Army Cadet Command, John led all Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs at America’s colleges and universities while simultaneously administering 1700 junior ROTC programs at America’s high schools. John served as commanding general of the Army’s one-of-a-kind Special Operations Aviation Command deploying helicopter forces across the world in support of our nation’s most elite and guarded operations. John holds master’s degrees from Kansas State University and the US Naval War College in Education and National Security respectively. He served as a resident Federal Executive Fellow at the esteemed Brookings Institution in Washington DC, and he is affiliated with numerous professional military, veteran and non-profit civic organizations.
