Bill Fields is the North Carolina Market Leader for Venture Debt at Bridge Bank in their technology lending group where he focuses on emerging growth technology companies. Prior to Bridge Bank, Bill was a Venture Consultant at Red Cedar Ventures and a Venture Fellow at IDEA Fund Partners. Bill has also worked as a Banker at JP Morgan providing strategic guidance and financial consulting to CEOs and CFOs at Middle Market companies.

Before getting into finance, Bill served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant where he received the Joint Service Achievement Medal for his support to 2nd Brigade 10th Mountain Division and Special Operations Forces in Afghanistan. Bill also served in the United States Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions committee as a research aide, in the White House National Economic Council, and as a grassroots organizer for a national non-profit and two statewide high profile political campaigns.  

Bill received his Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School. He also received a Masters in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
