Mr. Roger Perry, Sr. is president of East West Partners Management Company, Inc., a North Carolina real estate development company. Mr. Perry oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the company, headquartered in Chapel Hill, NC. He began his development career in 1972 when he joined the Sea Pines Company at River Hills Plantation near Charlotte. Four years later he joined the sales force at the Brandermill community near Richmond, Virginia. He rose to senior vice president of sales and marketing. In 1983 Mr. Perry returned to North Carolina to develop Woodcroft, an 800-acre community located in Durham near the Research Triangle Park. Since 1983, his company, East West Partners has developed more residential real estate than anyone in North Carolina, currently over 6,500 homes. A few of East West Partners’ more well-known communities include Adams Farm in Greensboro; Davis Lake in Charlotte; Falls River in Raleigh; Downing Creek and Meadowmont in Chapel Hill, Cary Park in Cary, Davis Park in Morrisville, Powell Place in Pittsboro and East 54, the new urban village with Leed Certification in Chapel Hill. 

Mr. Perry is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The Executive Program at UNC’s School of Business. He is a past chairman of the annual Carolina Executive Cup and has been a guest lecturer at both the UNC School of Business and Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. 

Mr. Perry is chair of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Board of Trustees. He served on the Board of Visitors at University of North Carolina and serves on the National Development Council at UNC, past chairman of fundraising for UNC’s new golf facility, served on the Executive Committee of the Center for Real Estate at University of North Carolina Kenan Flagler School. He is active in the Urban Land Institute and is a past member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Mr. Perry was the chairman of the Orange County United Way, and served on the Orange County United Way Board of Trustees. He is past chair of Triangle Tomorrow and Triangle United Way, and past board member of Chapel Hill Chamber of Commerce Board, Triangle Board of Centura Bank, NC Progress Board and North Carolina Progress Board.
