The IDB has invited Dr. Scott Shackelford to join us for a four-part interactive webinar series on his new book, Governing New Frontiers in the Information Age: Toward Cyber Peace. He will explore critical issues that are impacting U.S. national and international security across the “global commons.”
Why are current governance systems failing to adapt to quickly changing circumstances? How can we move forward collectively to avoid tragedies in the “global commons” from climate change and cyber attacks to marine pollution and orbital debris? What lessons can we learn from space, climate, and marine governance as applied to contemporary Internet governance challenges? Focus areas will include:
- Internet of Everything (April 6, 2020 @ 5:00 – 6:00 pm ET)
- Oceans (April 13, 2020 @ 5:00 – 6:00 pm ET)
- Change (April 20, 2020 @ 5:00 – 6:00 pm ET)
- Space (April 27, 2020 @ 5:00 -6:00 pm ET)
The webinar series leads up to the launch a two-week online business certificate hosted by Indiana University in partnership with the IDB focused on Managing Cyber Risk in the National Security Context in May.
The first webinar is free! To help off-set the costs of hosting the series, the last three webinars costs $40/webinar or $100 for the set of three webinars.
