Andrea L. Carpenter
VP, Finance & Administration
Through her expertise and experience in financial and nonprofit management, human resources, and contract compliance, Andrea Carpenter serves as Vice President, Finance & Administration of the IDB. She joined the organization in 2005, excited to bring together her professional general management experience in the healthcare and higher education settings and her corporate banking experience, then totaling over 20 years.
At the IDB, Andrea has a wide-ranging role and holds overall responsibility for the financial operations and human resources functions of the organization. She consults on matters involving corporate and government contract compliance and management. Andrea holds the Human Resources Certification institute’s Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR} and Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Designations.
She received a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where she was a Fuqua Fellowship recipient.
