IDB’s Col Brewer, USAF (Ret.) speaking during the NCFATS Automotive and Robotics Panel

“Innovation comes easy to North Carolina.” – states Panel Chair MG Julian “JB” Burns, USA (Ret.) during the Automotive and Robotics Technologies panel.

The objective of NCFATS, co-sponsored by North Carolina Military Business Center, IDB, and North Carolina Military Foundation, was to establish a productive dialogue between businesses and universities developing advanced technologies, with military commands, warfighters, and government agencies with diverse technology requirements. The day featured many notable speakers including Hon. Thom Tillis,Speaker of the House, NC House of Representatives, MG Nick Justice, Assistant Military Deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army, and BG John Love, Deputy Commanding General II MEF and panel discussions ranging from behavioral sciences to alternative fuels and power.

In particular, IDB’s own Col Brewer, USAF (Ret.), spoke during the Automotive and Robotics Technology panel in order to highlight our very successful MVHPC project.

The IDB was honored to have helped Scott Dorney and the NCMBC facilitate this outstanding event. Bringing together different parties such as the private and public sectors in order to learn from each other and build relationships is the crux of our programs.
