AIR-P integrates leadership development and business management concepts to help Defense Organic Industrial Base leaders manage these large organizations effectively. \n\n\n\nBuilding a Business Mindset\n\n\n\nThe Institute for Defense and Business (IDB) has designed and customized the Aviation Industrial Readiness Program for the leadership of the defense industrial enterprise. AIR-P is an executive development program serving commanders and leaders of our nation’s depot\, arsenal\, and ammunition facilities. AIR-P integrates business acumen\, business best practices\, leader development\, and management processes & concepts. The program enables leaders within the Industrial Enterprise to adapt and replicate the latest technology\, systems\, and management practices to effectively lead large industrial organizations. \n\n\n\nIn 2018\, AIR-P was developed at the request of the Naval Air Systems Command and Commander of the Fleet Readiness Centers. The program is attended by leaders from all branches of the military/DoD civilians industrial complex and private-sector manufacturers. AIR-P is developed and administered by the IDB in partnership with faculty from North Carolina State University (NCSU)\, other leading universities\, and practicing experts in complex industrial operations.
