Course Format
Structure
Log21 is structured as a one-week course running from a Sunday evening welcome dinner to a mid-day Friday feedback session. In this unique course, participants engage in candid exchanges regarding how to improve the art and practice of modern logistics from a 21st century perspective. This highly interactive program offers an intensive, pragmatic learning experience, where participants explore the theory and practice in areas such as technology insertion, life-cycle design, public/private partnerships, and contract negotiations. The participants will be challenged by expert faculty and guest speakers to:
-
Work in a number of different learning modalities, including classroom, as well as group work;
-
Interact with their peers both in and out of the classroom; and
-
Establish networks for ongoing exchange of ideas and practice.
Many of the logistics topics covered are similar to those in our other executive courses; however to better focus the curriculum to an early career audience, we have included such topics as a DoD Budget Primer, Intro to Contracting, as well as greater emphasis on leadership.
