Executive Seminar in Stabilization and Economic Reconstruction
Executive Program in Stabilization and Economic Reconstruction provides the opportunity for a common knowledge foundation leading to more effective collaboration among military, interagency, and private sector actors in stabilization scenarios. Stability operations are a core U.S. military mission that the Department of Defense must be prepared to conduct, support, and execute with a priority comparable to combat operations. Stabilization must be explicitly addressed and integrated across all DOD activities.
The Course Objects Are:
• Gain insight into how to catalyze stabilization and revitalization by analyzing private sector, interagency, and military capabilities that may be unified through practices and processes in order to provide support for the Warfighter and the COCOM intent
• Learn how business solutions have been employed in the battlespace to support the Commander’s stabilization strategy
• Provide a forum to identify and address regulatory, administrative and financial impediments to effective execution of Logistical Lines of Operation necessary to execute stabilization, with an emphasis on economics and governance
• Substantially improve Military-interagency-NGO-IO-private sector understanding, planning, coordination, and execution in stabilization and economic revitalization per DoD Directive 3000.05, as well as Joint and Component Doctrine.
• Provide educational and networking opportunities for individuals from DoD, services, and other government agencies who are responsible for crisis management
